Town have signed central defender Marc Weatherstone from Wingate & Finchley (Marc is pictured in the blue shirt on the left - photo by Tom Scott). He will be in the squad for today's visit of Harlow Town, subject to his registration being completed in time.
30 year-old Marc joined Dulwich Hamlet in the summer of 2016 after nine years and well over 400 appearances for Wingate, where he had been club captain. He started his career as a youngster at West Ham United and then had spells at Barnet, Luton Town and Dagenham & Redbridge prior to joining Wingate. After helping Hamlet to promotion at the end of last season, he returned to Summers Lane during the summer, and broke the W&F appearances record when he turned out for the club for the 452nd time at Potters Bar Town in November.
Andy Leese said "Marc was another summer target and we are delighted to get him in now. He will bring experience, which we feel we need right now. We have worked hard to secure his services, and I'm sure supporters will welcome him into the club".
In the opposite direction, Taofiq Olomowewe, who made 27 appearances and scored five times in his two spells at the club, has been released and the club would like to wish him all the best. Andy continued "with Marc joining, we have agreed to release Taofiq Olomowewe. It was a difficult decision, but we couldn't guarantee him the regular game time he wants. "T" has been excellent in his short time with us, and I am sure he will continue to progress in his career".
