He is running it in memory of his friend's 16 year-old son Alfie who fell from some scaffolding that he was working on. The air ambulance flew him to hospital, where his parents were able to spend some precious time with him before he sadly passed away.
Although Alfie's injuries were too severe for him to be saved, for other critically injured Londoners the air ambulance can make the difference between life and death.
The charity relies on voluntary donations for a significant amount of its income. Gavin and his helpers will be out with their buckets at the match against Worthing this Saturday. They will be collecting both before the game and at half time. Please give what you can spare to this vital charity.
