Taofiq Olomowewe signs at the QES from Wealdstone

Town have signed 21 year-old, 6ft 3in, former Burnley Under 23 central defender Taofiq Olomowewe on loan for a month. He was released by the Clarets at the end of the last season having moved to Turf Moor in March 2016 via the Nike Academy. He represented Maldon & Tiptree briefly earlier this season but has been on the books at Wealdstone since October. He will be available for selection tomorrow subject the completion of all necessary outstanding paperwork.

Manager Andy Leese said “Taofiq is a local boy who will add quality to what we have. He is eager to get underway and playing games for us and I am sure supporters will like his style. Welcome, Taofiq!"

Meanwhile, Andy has confirmed that Ben Ward-Cochrane has been released and has joined Potters Bar Town. We wish him all the best in his future career.
