BLAKE THOMPSON ARRIVES AT THE QES

By Ken Brazier

Town manager Bradley Quinton is delighted to announce the signing of Blake Thompson, a 23 year-old Australian who was formerly with Birmingham City

Town manager Bradley Quinton is delighted to announce the signing of Blake Thompson, a 23 year-old Australian who was formerly with Birmingham City.

Blake moved from Queensland, where he had been playing with Brisbane Wolves, to England in 2012, signing a contract with Birmingham’s academy later that year. He has been playing in the Dutch First Division for Dordrecht, who he joined in the 2016 close season via Crewe Alexandra, and is available for selection against Merstham at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium tomorrow (Saturday 11th).

Quinton said “I’m pleased to be able to bring Blake into the squad following all the necessary clearances. He can play at centre or left back, or as a central midfielder, so is very versatile, and he is joining us at a crucial time as we look to push on in our remaining fourteen league games”.

Welcome, Blake!
